Evian Thonon Gaillard

Established on July 1, 2007, the club currently participates in Championnat National 2, the fourth tier of French football. The club's origins trace back to FC Gaillard, which operated from 1924 to 2003, achieving success by winning the Division d'Honneur of the Rhône-Alpes region in 1999. Evian, the successor, quickly rose through the ranks, claiming victory in the Championnat de France Amateur in 2008, the Championnat National in 201, and the Ligue 2 in 2011. Initially based at Stade Joseph-Moynat in Thonon-les-Bains, the team relocated to Parc des Sports in Annecy for the 2010–11 season due to Ligue de Football Professionnel standards non-compliance by the former venue. Before settling in Annecy, there were discussions about utilizing the Stade de Genève in Geneva, Switzerland. Up to the 2013–14 season, the club was backed by Groupe Danone, the parent company of the Evian mineral water brand, with Franck Riboud serving as the club's honorary president. Followingation from Ligue 2 in 2016, the DNCG's further demotion led the club to Championnat de France Amateur. Subsequently, the team faced liquidation with the possibility of another descent by the end of the 2016–17 season. As a result, the club exited the competition on August 9. However, through restructuring, the team achieved successive promotions in 2019 and 2020, securing a place in Championnat National 3 for the 2020–21 season. Most recently, in May 2021, the club joined the STRIVE football group alongside FC Miami City from the United States and Royal FC Mandel United from Belgium.
